Job summary

AutoPath Recruitment Ltd partners with a main dealership in Walton-on-Thames to recruit a Vehicle Technician for a Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:30 role with no weekends. £45,000 DOE, plus monthly bonuses up to £1,100, and 22 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.

Modern workshop with excellent training and clear progression paths. The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, UK driving licence, and strong fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or IMI qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience as Vehicle Technician in a workshop environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities, with a methodical approach to repairs.
• Reliable, hardworking attitude and pride in producing work to a high standard.
• Ability to work well independently while contributing to the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles.
• Investigate and diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and technical equipment.
• Complete vehicle health checks and highlight any recommended repairs or additional work.
• Inspect and road-test vehicles to identify issues and ensure they meet safety standards.
• Work closely with the Aftersales team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and customers receive a good level of service.
• Maintain a clean, organised working environment and ensure all work meets the required quality standards.
• Share knowledge and offer support to less experienced technicians where appropriate.
• Take advantage of ongoing training to develop your technical skills and keep up with new vehicle technologies.

We have partnered with a well-established Main Dealership in Walton-on-Thames who are looking to strengthen their team with an additional Vehicle Technician.

We are looking for a skilled, motivated and reliable technician who takes pride in their work and is looking to join a professional stat of the art workshop environment with excellent training and genuine opportunities for progression.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician within a workshop environment.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Confident fault-finding and diagnostic abilities, with a methodical approach to repairs.
• A dependable, hardworking attitude and pride in producing work to a high standard.
• Someone who can work well independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
