Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester in Epsom, Surrey, to join a well-established main dealership that invests in staff development and the latest vehicle technologies.

You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and MOT testing, with opportunities to work on advanced electrical and EV systems. The role offers a competitive salary up to £40,100 with a potential OTE around £48,000 and 33 days leave.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Full UK driving licence held for at least six months.
• Minimum of two years’ post-apprenticeship experience in automotive environment.
• MOT testing qualification preferred for the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester role.
• Experience in a main dealership or similar environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and maintenance on passenger and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair faults efficiently and accurately.
• Support mechanical and electrical repairs as part of the team.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and diagnostics adhering to industry standards.
• Provide technical advice to customers and colleagues.
• Support MOT testing in line with manufacturer specs and safety regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new vehicle technologies, including EVs.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:

• Conduct routine servicing and maintenance on passenger and commercial vehicles

Requirements of the MOT Technician:

• Full UK driving licence held for at least six months
• NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Minimum of two years’ post-apprenticeship experience within an automotive environment
• MOT testing qualification preferred for the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester rolePrevious experience within a main dealership or similar environment advantageous
