Perfect Placement is currently recruiting a Vehicle Technician for a reputable Yeovil dealership. You will diagnose, repair and service vehicles in a busy workshop, using modern diagnostic equipment and adhering to high quality standards.

The role offers a competitive base salary up to £35,000 with an OTE of £39,000, progressing through ongoing training and development within a friendly team environment in Somerset.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with a strong technical background.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Excellent diagnostic skills and attention to detail.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

• Diagnosing and repairing vehicles according to manufacturer and industry standards
• Conducting scheduled maintenance and repairs efficiently
• Utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults accurately
• Ensuring all work is completed within specified timeframes and to a high standard
• Maintaining detailed records of work carried out
• Adhering to health and safety procedures and workshop policies
• Supporting team members and sharing technical knowledge

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, with a strong technical background
• Relevant technical qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance
• Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid MOT Tester qualification is desirable but not essential
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
