Perfect Placement UK Ltd is working with a prestigious Canterbury dealership to recruit a qualified Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for a permanent workshop position. The role offers a competitive salary up to £37,000 with potential to £45,000 OTE via uncapped bonuses, plus manufacturer accredited training including Hybrid & Electric Vehicle qualifications.

There is a clear career progression path within a recognised dealership and a Monday-to-Friday schedule with 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience as Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a main dealer or reputable independent garage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle health checks using diagnostic equipment.
• Servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines and customer requests.
• Carrying out repairs and warranty work to manufacturer standards.
• Road testing vehicles to ensure fault rectification.
• Completing service and repair paperwork accurately.
• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service.

Duties:

• Conducting vehicle health checks using advanced diagnostic equipment
• Performing servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
• Carrying out repairs and warranty work to manufacturer standards

• Completing all relevant service and repair paperwork accurately and efficiently
• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence is essential
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification required
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, ideally within a main dealer or reputable independent garage
• Motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn new skills, particularly in hybrid and electric vehicle technology
• Ability to work to high standards and deliver excellent customer service
• Experience working with recognised brands is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided
