Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician for a busy workshop in Lymington, Hampshire. You will service cars and vans, perform health checks, and diagnose faults to high standards in a professional team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven workshop experience as a Vehicle Technician.

We are recruiting a Vehicle Technician to join our busy, customer-focused automotive workshop in Lymington, Hampshire. This Vehicle Technician role offers the opportunity to work within a professional team delivering high-quality servicing, diagnostics and repairs across cars and vans.

• Basic salary of up to £40,000.


• Overtime paid at time and a half.


• Realistic monthly bonus earnings of £300–£400, with further potential based on performance.


• Monday to Friday working hours, 08:00–17:00, with flexibility where coverage allows.


• 20 days’ holiday, plus your birthday and 8 bank holidays.


• Christmas shutdown of 3–5 days, including the period from the day before Christmas Eve to the first trading day, without deduction from holiday allowance.

• Annual free service and MOT for your own vehicle, including parts.

Duties:

• As a Vehicle Technician, you will service vehicles across a range of mainstream makes and models.


• Complete vehicle health checks and accurately record all required inspections.


• Diagnose, inspect and repair faults to a consistently high standard.


• Carry out brake and suspension maintenance and replacement work.


• Work confidently on both cars and vans within a fast-paced workshop.


• Support the smooth operation of the workshop through reliable, professional workmanship.


• Identify where your technical strengths are best suited and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.

Requirements:

• Proven workshop experience as a Vehicle Technician, with strong servicing capability.


• Ability to complete vehicle health checks and brake and suspension repairs.


• Experience working on mainstream vehicles; van experience is advantageous.


• MOT experience is desirable, with MOT-trained or qualified individuals considered for the top end of the salary range.


• A reliable, practical attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship.


• Ability to explain technical strengths and limitations clearly.


• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, with flexibility when required.
