Job summary

Halfords Garage Services is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in the UK. You will service and repair vehicles, with the ability to handle more complex tasks including clutches, timing belts and diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brakes, steering and suspension systems.

• On-target earnings up to £41,100
• Comprising a base salary of £32,000 - £34,000
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £7,100 per year.
• 5 days a week (this centre is closed on Sunday's)

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You'll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.
