Job summary

Halfords is expanding its Garage Services team at our Fusion centre, offering a base salary of £32,500–£34,500 with an uncapped bonus scheme averaging £7,100 per year, leading to on-target earnings up to £41,600.

As a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic you will service and repair vehicles, tackle diagnostics, and grow skills through advanced tasks like clutch and timing belt work in a supportive environment with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work; diagnostic tasks across brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Perform complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
• Work on electrics and diagnostics, with capability for more advanced repairs as needed.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. Youll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
