Job summary

Halfords is hiring a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for our Fusion centres, delivering first-class customer service in a modern workshop environment. You will service and repair vehicles, with opportunities to tackle clutches, timing belts and diagnostics, using our latest equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair/replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical).

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Handle more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
• Work on diagnostics in areas like vehicle electrics, brake, steering and suspension systems.

• Comprising a base salary of £32,000 - £34,000
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £7,100 per year.
• 5 days a week (this centre is closed on Sunday's)

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

Skills And Experience

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
