Job summary

Vertu Vauxhall Northampton is looking for a dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. You’ll diagnose, repair and service vehicles to the highest standards, using your technical expertise to deliver first-time fixes in a supportive, customer‑facing environment.

We offer a competitive salary of up to £49,350 base, with a bonus opportunity up to £5,000 and a £4,000 sign‑on bonus. Average 42‑hour week with no Saturday work, plus pension, training and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Must have the relevant automotive qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3).
• Hands-on experience as a Vehicle Technician with own tools and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: Up to £49,350 (depending on your skills and experience) with additional bonus opportunity of up to £5000. This is based on a Average 42-hour working week with no Saturday working. We're also offering a £4000 sign-on bonus. You'll receive £2000 when you join us and an additional £2000 in month 13 of your employment. What You'll Be Doing As a Vehicle Technician, you'll play a key role in delivering an honest, reliable, and professional experience for every customer. Your day-to-day tasks will involve:

• Diagnosing, repairing, and servicing vehicles to the highest standards
• Applying your technical expertise to both routine and complex repairs
• Taking pride in achieving quality results and first-time fixes

What You'll Need

• A relevant qualification (e.g., City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Automotive)

Salary Tier Examples (Based on Skills and Accreditation)

• Prep Technician - Up to £37,800
• Service & Maintenance Technician - Up to £38,850
• Service & Diagnostic Technician - Up to £42,000
