Job summary

Vertu Volkswagen Hereford is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to service, maintain and repair customer vehicles to a high standard.

You will work a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturdays. A base salary up to £47,000 plus a bonus up to £5,000, and a sign-on of £5,000 are offered, with comprehensive manufacturer training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Relevant automotive qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ L2-3) or equivalent.
• Your own set of tools and ability to use them effectively.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair customer vehicles to high standards.
• Work efficiently to agreed timeframes while maintaining workmanship.

Up to £47,000 basic salary + up to £5,000 bonus

At Vertu Volkswagen Hereford we're looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team. We're offering a basic salary of up to £47,000, depending on skills and experience, plus a bonus opportunity of up to £5,000.

You’ll work a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday and 1 in 3 saturdays

Join us and receive a £5,000 sign-on bonus, with £2,500 paid in your first month and a further £2,500 after 13 months of service as a reward for your commitment.

Whether you’re currently working for a franchised dealership or an independent garage, we’d love to hear from you.

The packages we are offering are dependant upon experience and accreditation however you can expect basic salaries as below:

• Prep Technicians up to £36,000
• Service and Maintenance Technicians up to £38,000
• Service and Diagnostic Technicians up to £41,000
• Senior Technicians up to £43,000
• Master Technicians up to £47,000

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing our customers' vehicles to a high standard.

You’ll work efficiently to agreed timeframes while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship. Productivity, attention to detail and achieving a first-time fix will all be important parts of the role.

You’ll Need

What we’re looking for:

• A relevant automotive qualification, ideally City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent
• Current experience working as a Vehicle Technician
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
