Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Merthyr Tydfil is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our busy Service Department within a reputable automotive group. This role offers a clear path to develop your career and work with modern equipment.

You will service, diagnose, and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, maintain safety and quality, and contribute to team targets. The position features a Monday–Friday schedule, training opportunities, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• 1–2 years' post-qualification experience
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Strong teamwork and attention to detail
• Willingness to continue professional development
• Experience with hybrid vehicle tech or MOT licence is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and repair work on vehicles to manufacturer standards
• Accurately diagnose faults and report findings to the Aftersales Manager
• Ensure vehicle safety, reliability, and performance are maintained
• Adhere to high-quality workmanship and health and safety procedures
• Meet team targets and deliver excellent customer service
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
• Assist with additional tasks as required by the Service Department

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

• Conduct service, maintenance, and repair work on vehicles to manufacturer standards

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Ideally 1 to 2 years' post-qualification experience within a workshop environment
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Good team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to consistently produce high-quality work in a fast-paced setting
• Motivated with a commitment to professional development
• Experience with hybrid vehicle technology, PSA vehicles, or holding an MOT licence is advantageous but not essential
