Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Old Trafford to join a leading main dealer group. The role offers a basic salary up to £40,000 plus uncapped bonus and overtime (OTE £60k DOE) with a Monday–Friday pattern and Saturday mornings on a rota.

The ideal candidate will service and maintain vehicles, diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults, and may perform MOT testing if qualified. A full UK driving licence is essential and an MOT license is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license is required.
• NVQ/IMI/ATA or City & Guilds level 3 ideally; Level 2 with extensive main dealership experience also considered.
• MOT license is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, including warranty work where applicable.
• MOT testing duties if qualified.

Vehicle Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• NVQ, IMI, ATA or City & Guilds level 3 ideally but we will also consider level 2 with a lot of experience (If you're a level 2 Vehicle Technician with main dealership experience then definitely apply!)
• MOT License is beneficial but not essential
