Job summary

Octane Recruitment in Bury is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join a leading UK main dealer group. The role involves servicing, diagnostics and MOT duties where qualified, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.

Salary is up to £41,000 basic plus bonus and overtime DOE. Working hours are 8:30am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturday on a rota (negotiable). A full UK driving license is essential and Level 3 qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license.
• MOT License is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ/IMI/ATA/City & Guilds L3 ideally; Level 2 considered with experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, including warranty work.
• MOT testing duties if qualified.

Vehicle Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• NVQ, IMI, ATA or City & Guilds level 3 ideally but we will also consider level 2 with a lot of experience (If you’re a level 2 Vehicle Technician with main dealership experience then definitely apply!)
• MOT License is beneficial but not essential
