Job summary

Halfords in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles, including complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time-served experience.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience diagnosing brakes, steering/suspension, engine and complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and replacements including clutches and timing belts.
• Diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.
• Progress career through ATA & MOT Tester qualifications.

Compensation

• On-target earnings up to £45,000


• Comprising a base salary of £32,790 - £38,100


• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £6,900 per year.

Skills And Experience

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience


• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points


• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
