Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician for a full-time role in Inverness. The position focuses on servicing, maintenance, and repair of light commercial vehicles and vans to ensure fleet reliability and safety.

The successful candidate will have Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair and proven experience with diagnostics and fault-finding. A UK driving licence is essential. Excellent career progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred).
• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / LCV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on vans or commercial vehicles (highly desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Complete MOT preparation and general inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Accurately complete job cards, service records, and compliance paperwork.
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and workshop targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Vehicle Technician (Vans)

Location: Inverness

Salary: £38,000 Basic Salary (£44,000 OTE)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (with optional overtime)

About the Role

Our client is one of the UK's leading vehicle hire and fleet management businesses, and they are currently looking for skilled Vehicle Technicians to join their growing team across multiple sites nationwide.

This role will focus primarily on the maintenance, servicing, and repair of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and vans, ensuring fleet reliability and safety for a wide customer base.
