Job summary

Allen Motor Group | Kia Dealership, Brentwood is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. You will perform servicing, repairs and diagnostics, delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

The role offers a 45-hour week with overtime on alternate Saturdays, a competitive basic salary of £32,429 plus a bonus scheme, and opportunities for training and career progression within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• A relevant formal qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3) as a minimum.
• Experience in inspecting, repairing and servicing motor vehicles would be advantageous.

Allen Motor Group is looking for a motivated and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our Kia dealership in Brentwood. This is a full-time position working 45 hours per week Monday - Friday (with 1 in 2 Saturdays as overtime), reporting directly to the Aftersales Manager.

What will you be doing?

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our customers safely on the road and ensuring every vehicle receives the highest standard of care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing, repairs, technical inspections and diagnostic work to a high standard.
• Delivering excellent technical and diagnostic services while meeting and exceeding customer satisfaction and productivity targets.
• Keeping your technical knowledge up to date and completing all required manufacturer training.
• Maintaining compliance with manufacturer guidelines and company quality standards.
• Completing vehicle health checks accurately and ensuring 100% compliance with our vehicle health check processes.
• Taking pride in your workmanship and helping deliver an exceptional customer experience every time.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical ability with a positive attitude, a commitment to quality and a genuine passion for the automotive industry.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• A relevant formal qualification, City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 as a minimum
• A full UK driving licence.
• Experience inspecting, repairing and servicing motor vehicles.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service.

An MOT Tester qualification would be a great advantage, and previous experience working within a franchised dealership would be beneficial, although it isn’t essential.
