Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting a Vehicle Technician for a well-established commercial vehicle dealership in Eastbourne, East Sussex. The role offers a competitive base salary up to £32,000 with an additional on-target bonus of up to £10,000 per year, and a Monday to Friday schedule from 08:00 to 17:30 with no weekend work.

You will diagnose faults, perform servicing, and engage in manufacturer training to maintain high professional standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent; Level 2 candidates may be considered depending on experience.
• Strong diagnostic skills with a pragmatic approach to repairs and servicing.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on light commercial vehicles, ensuring work complies with manufacturer standards.
• Conduct electronic vehicle health checks and video diagnostics.
• Perform routine servicing and maintenance on commercial vehicles efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain high levels of technical knowledge through ongoing training and development.
• Liaise effectively with service advisors and managers regarding vehicle issues.
• Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic within an automotive environment
• NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent; Level 2 candidates may be considered depending on experience
• Strong diagnostic skills with a pragmatic approach to repairs and servicing
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to develop technical knowledge further through manufacturer training
• Full UK driving licence, preferably clean
• Ability to adhere to specific work processes and standards
