Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanic, Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician.
• Experience in vehicle diagnostics or willingness to progress into complex diagnostics.
• NVQ Level 3, IMI Level 3 or equivalent; Level 2 may be considered.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Full UK driving licence, ideally clean.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on franchised manufacturer cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Complete servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Undertake complex diagnostic work and pursue manufacturer training.
• Liaise with Service Advisors and Service Manager regarding vehicle issues.
• Provide courteous and efficient service to workshop customers.
• Maintain accurate working processes and consistently high technical standards.

We are seeking a Vehicle Diagnostic Technician to join our established commercial vehicle dealership group in Worthing, West Sussex. • Salary up to £40,000, negotiable depending on experience
• Additional bonus potential of up to £6,000 per annum

Duties as a Vehicle Diagnostic Technician:

• Diagnose and repair faults on franchised manufacturer cars and light commercial vehicles
• Complete servicing and repairs efficiently and to manufacturer standards
• Undertake complex diagnostic work and develop your technical expertise through manufacturer training
• Liaise with Service Advisors and the Service Manager regarding vehicle issues
• Provide knowledgeable, courteous and efficient service to workshop customers
• Maintain accurate working processes and consistently high technical standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanic, Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician
• Experience in vehicle diagnostics, or a strong desire to progress into complex diagnostic repairs
• NVQ Level 3, IMI Level 3 or an equivalent qualification; Level 2 may be considered depending on experience
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A structured approach to working and a willingness to develop mechanical knowledge
• A full UK driving licence, preferably clean
