Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic in Croydon. You will service and repair vehicles, handling tasks from routine maintenance to clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

The role includes a base salary of £32,790–£38,100 with an uncapped monthly bonus and average annual bonus of around £6,900, contributing to an OTE up to £45,000. Enjoy generous leave and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.
