Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group is seeking a Vehicle Technician for a busy workshop in Birmingham. The role offers a base salary of up to £40,000 with potential OTE around £42,000, plus overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will service, maintain and repair a range of vehicles to manufacturer standards, perform diagnostics, and contribute to high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience
• Previous dealership experience is advantageous
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete vehicle health checks and inspections
• Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer standards
• Accurately record work completed and parts used
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
• Work closely with the wider team to deliver excellent customer service

About the Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of vehicles to manufacturer standards. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete vehicle health checks and inspections
• Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer standards

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience
• Previous dealership experience is advantageous
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive attitude and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
