Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a busy Erdington workshop. Earn £35,000–£40,000 base with an OTE up to £42,000 and overtime. Full-time, permanent position with clear career progression and ongoing manufacturer training.

You will service, diagnose, and repair a range of vehicles to manufacturer standards, maintaining quality workmanship and safety in a structured workshop environment. Experience in a dealership is advantageous.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience.
• Previous dealership experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete vehicle health checks and inspections.
• Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer standards.
• Accurately record work completed and parts used.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop.
• Work closely with the wider team to deliver excellent customer service.

About the Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of vehicles to manufacturer standards. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience
• Previous dealership experience is advantageous
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive attitude and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
