Job summary

Igloo Ltd in Chipping Warden is seeking an experienced Vehicle Service Technician to service, inspect, diagnose and repair a range of vehicles in a professional workshop environment. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work to high standards.

You will perform servicing, PDIs, diagnostics and repairs, maintain documentation, and ensure quality workmanship. A Level 3 qualification and a full UK licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) is essential.
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician within a professional workshop environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills.
• Good understanding of vehicle servicing and repair procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
• Completing pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and identifying any additional work required.
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carrying out mechanical repairs in line with manufacturer procedures.
• Identifying and reporting vehicle defects and repair requirements.
• Using workshop systems to record completed work and maintain accurate documentation.
• Requesting and fitting parts as required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician to work within a professional workshop environment, carrying out servicing, inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs across a range of vehicles.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable technician with strong attention to detail and a commitment to completing work to a high standard.

The Role:

As a Vehicle Service Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
• Completing pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and identifying any additional work required.
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carrying out mechanical repairs in line with manufacturer procedures.
• Identifying and reporting vehicle defects and repair requirements.
• Using workshop systems to record completed work and maintain accurate documentation.
• Requesting and fitting parts as required.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring all work is completed to the required quality standards.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
• Following all company health and safety procedures.

The Person:

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) is essential.
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician within a professional workshop environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills.
• Good understanding of vehicle servicing and repair procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking, and professional approach to work.
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
