Job summary

Autotech-Recruit-Limited is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician in Luton to join a busy workshop. You will service and repair a wide range of vehicles, carrying out health checks and diagnostics with attention to quality and safety.

Ideal candidates bring Level 2/3 automotive qualifications, strong fault-finding skills, and a Full UK driving licence. MOT testing is advantageous but not essential; the role offers training, progression, and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or Mechanic.
• Level 2 or 3 automotive qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Full UK driving licence.
• MOT Tester qualification advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Complete vehicle health checks and safety inspections.
• Perform repairs to brakes, suspension, steering, exhausts and other systems.
• Conduct diagnostic investigations using manufacturer and aftermarket equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate job cards and workshop documentation.
• Work collaboratively with workshop controllers, service advisors and fellow technicians.
• Uphold excellent health and safety standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Full UK driving licence

• MOT Tester qualification advantageous but not essential
