Igloo Ltd. is recruiting Vehicle Technicians for a busy vehicle preparation centre serving a range of makes and models. You will service, diagnose, and repair to high standards, ensuring safe and efficient vehicle preparation for retail.

The business is relocating to a brand-new bodyshop facility in Portbury later this year, offering a dynamic, growing operation with a 4- or 5-day week and a competitive salary, plus pension and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification preferred, time-served accepted.
• Experience working as Vehicle Technician in a workshop.
• EV qualifications advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Own toolkit to complete repairs efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Team player with a positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults across engines, brakes, transmissions, and fuel systems.
• Carry out servicing and repairs on a variety of makes and models.
• Complete vehicle inspections and identify additional repair requirements.
• Work closely with parts and pre-delivery teams to ensure smooth vehicle flow.
• Maintain tools and equipment, identifying hazards or maintenance requirements.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Complete all job cards and repair documentation accurately.
• Work efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets.

Job description

We are recruiting Vehicle Technicians on behalf of our client, a well-established, family-owned business and one of the South West's largest independent used vehicle dealerships. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy vehicle preparation centre, working on a variety of makes and models in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to a high standard, ensuring vehicles are prepared efficiently and safely for retail.

The business is also relocating to a brand-new bodyshop facility in Portbury later this year, making this an exciting time to join a growing operation.

The Role:

• Diagnose and repair faults across engines, brakes, transmissions, and fuel systems
• Carry out servicing and repairs on a variety of makes and models

The Person:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification (Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent) is preferred, although time-served technicians will also be considered
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician within a workshop environment
• EV qualifications and experience would be advantageous
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
• Own toolkit to complete repairs efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Team player with a positive and professional attitude
