Job summary

Williams F1 Team is seeking a hands-on DIL simulator operator to own the end-to-end execution of the full-motion DIL setup for non-F1 programs, including Driver Academy and Heritage experiences.

You will configure vehicle/track models, set up hardware, lead sessions, and maintain the facility with a proactive maintenance calendar, ensuring reliability and professional standards across drivers, engineers, and commercial stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating simulation or real-time control facilities.
  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical repair and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with motion platforms and simulation software such as rFpro or TwinCAT is a bonus.
  • Strong data acquisition and telemetry knowledge.
  • Methodical approach to session planning, configuration and data management.
  • High standards of maintenance documentation and system configs.
  • Proactive problem solver with clear communication across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own operation, maintenance, and execution of the DIL simulator for non-F1 activity.
  • Plan and deliver simulator sessions end to end, configuring vehicle/track models.
  • Set up hardware and software; lead sessions on the day with drivers and engineers.
  • Maintain the facility with a proactive schedule to minimize downtime.
  • Manage the simulator calendar balancing competing demands.
  • Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to support diverse use cases.
  • Maintain high standards of reliability, technical excellence, and professionalism.
