Job summary

Oyster Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join a busy fleet operation. You will diagnose faults, carry out servicing and repairs, and keep accurate records to ensure vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently.

Working within a supportive workshop team, you will handle preventative maintenance, diagnostic checks, and be prepared to work across early and late shifts at different locations. A Full UK driving licence and relevant mechanical qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical engineering, vehicle maintenance, or a similar environment.
• Ability to diagnose faults and read wiring diagrams and technical information.
• Full UK driving licence and flexible work locations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing, repairs and modifications.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately.
• Complete diagnostic checks and ensure repairs are carried out correctly.
• Complete job cards, service records, timesheets and other documentation accurately.
• Develop additional technical skills through ongoing training.
• Attend customer sites when required.

Are you a skilled technician with a strong mechanical background and experience working with commercial vehicles or fleet maintenance?

Our client is looking for a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join their busy fleet operation. • Complete diagnostic checks and ensure repairs are carried out correctly
• Complete job cards, service records, timesheets and other documentation accurately

Who They're Looking For:

• Experience in mechanical engineering, vehicle maintenance, or a similar environment
• Relevant NVQ, mechanical engineering qualification, or equivalent practical experience
• Mechanical and electrical repair experience
• Ability to diagnose faults and read wiring diagrams and technical information
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexible approach to working at different locations when required
• Able to participate in both early and late shift patterns
