Job summary

Elise Search is recruiting Vehicle Technicians for a stable national organisation in North London. You will service, maintain and repair a fleet of vans, cars and possibly HGVs, with ongoing training on new vehicle technologies.

This role offers a generous pension, holidays, an accelerated career path, and earnings around 55–60k with overtime possibilities. A short walk to the tube and free staff parking are provided on site.

Qualifications

• Diagnose faults using manufacturer and generic electronic diagnosis equipment.
• Experience as a vehicle technician on vans, cars, or as an HGV mechanic is required.
• Full driving licence is essential; HGV licence is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair a fleet of mixed commercial vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure in-house repairs.
• Build product knowledge of various makes/models from vans to HGVs (optional).
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and complete repairs in-house where possible.

Vehicle Technician

This very stable and profitable national organisation is recruiting for Vehicle Technicians in North London. The positions are working in their fleet workshop on a range of vehicles, with ongoing training on new vehicle technologies, generous pension and holidays and a shorter than average working week.

The role:

• Service, maintain, prepare for MOT, and repair a fleet of mixed commercial vehicles
• Build your product knowledge of a variety of makes and models of vans and cars through to HGVs (optional)
• Diagnose faults using manufacturer and generic electronic diagnosis equipment
• Complete all repair work in-house where possible, using the full range of your technical skills
• This position is based in North London with free staff parking on site and a short walk from the nearest tube station.

The Vehicle Technician should:

• Be a fully qualified mechanic or HGV technician with NVQ level 3, IMI advanced level apprenticeship, City and Guilds level 2, or equivalent qualifications.
• Have good experience of working as a vehicle technician on a range of vans and cars OR as an HGV mechanic.
• Have a full driving licence, we are especially interested in speaking to candidates with an HGV licence, but a standard car licence is fine too.
