Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to inspect vehicles and prepare condition reports across multiple BCA sites. You will report findings using PDA templates and support daily site inspections as part of a collaborative team.

The role requires an NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance, solid mechanical knowledge, and a valid UK driving licence. Knowledge of diagnostics and hybrid/electric vehicles is a plus.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in light vehicle maintenance.
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous).
• Strong written communication and ability to interact at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections following established procedures using PDA report templates.
• Complete used vehicle condition reports.
• Collaborate with team to maintain daily site inspections.
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery.
• Travel to various BCA sites within the region; further travel may be required as needed.
