Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to inspect vehicles, report findings, and complete condition reports. You will work with the team to keep daily site inspections on track and engage with customers to ensure top service delivery.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance, strong mechanical knowledge, and a UK driving licence. Hybrid/electric vehicle awareness is a plus, with regular travel to BCA sites.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous).
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template.
• Complete used vehicle condition reports.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections.
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery.
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed.
