Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to perform inspections, report findings, and maintain daily site inspections. The role includes travel to BCA sites within the region and collaboration with customers to ensure high-quality service.

The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance, have strong mechanical knowledge, and a driving licence. Electric/hybrid vehicle knowledge is a plus, with an 8.15am-5.45pm schedule Wed-Sun or Sat-Wed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles advantageous.
• Excellent written communication and ability to interact at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections following established procedures and report findings via PDA template.
• Complete used vehicle condition reports.
• Collaborate with team to maintain daily site inspections.
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service.
• Travel to BCA sites within the region; longer travel as needed.
