Clear Automotive in Chelmsford is seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join a leading accident repair group. You will assess damage, prepare accurate estimates, and liaise with insurers to secure authorisations while upholding high safety and quality standards.

You will work with the team to ensure correct repair methodology is followed, document the process precisely, and contribute to delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator.
• Audatex experience is essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy, professional accident repair environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles, assessing the full extent of damage, repair costs, and timescales.
• Identify the correct prescribed repair method and ensure accurate documentation.
• Prepare computerised and manual estimates, keeping up-to-date records of all work.
• Liaise with insurance companies to gain repair authorisations and confirm repair costs.
• Communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and technicians to ensure correct repair methodology is followed.
• Ensure all amendments to repairs are authorised by insurers.
• Work closely with bodyshop staff to ensure prescribed repair methods are carried out correctly.
