Job summary

Clear Automotive Recruitment Solutions Limited in Telford is seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join a busy bodyshop. You will inspect damaged vehicles, determine repair methods, prepare estimates, and liaise with insurers to obtain authorisations.

This permanent role offers a choice of hours (40, 45 or 50 per week), paid overtime, and a realistic monthly bonus up to £800, with an OTE up to £60,000.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
• Audatex experience is essential
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Able to work efficiently in a busy, professional accident repair environment

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles, assessing the full extent of damage, repair costs, and timescales
• Identify the correct prescribed repair method and ensure accurate documentation
• Carrying out remote estimates in addition.
• Prepare computerised and manual estimates, keeping up-to-date records of all work
• Liaise with insurance companies to gain repair authorisations and confirm repair costs
• Communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and technicians to ensure correct repair methodology is followed
• Ensure all amendments to repairs are authorised by insurers
• Work closely with bodyshop staff to ensure prescribed repair methods are carried out correctly
