Job summary

Clear Automotive Recruitment Solutions Limited is seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) for our Chelmsford facility. You will inspect damaged vehicles, determine repair costs and timescales, and prepare accurate repair estimates.

You will liaise with insurers, communicate with customers and technicians, and ensure repair methods are correctly applied. A realistic monthly bonus and training opportunities are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator.
• Audatex experience is essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy accident repair environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles, assess extent of damage, costs and timescales.
• Identify prescribed repair methods and document outcomes.
• Prepare computerised and manual repair estimates with up-to-date records.
• Liaise with insurers to obtain authorisations and confirm repair costs.
• Communicate with customers, engineers and technicians on repair methods.
• Ensure all amendments to repairs are authorised by insurers.
• Collaborate with bodyshop staff to ensure correct repair methods are followed.

The Role - Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA
