Job summary

Clear Automotive in Telford is seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA to join our busy site. The role offers a permanent position with flexible hours and paid overtime. Expect a realistic monthly bonus and a clear path to a high-earning OTE.

Inspect, estimate, and coordinate with insurers while collaborating with the bodyshop team to ensure accurate repair methods and timely completion.

Qualifications

• Audatex experience is essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience as Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator in an accident repair environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and assess full extent of damage, repair costs and timescales.
• Identify prescribed repair method and ensure accurate documentation.
• Carry out remote estimates as required.
• Prepare computerised and manual estimates and maintain up-to-date records.
• Liaise with insurance companies to gain authorisations and confirm repair costs.
• Communicate effectively with customers, engineers and technicians to ensure correct repair methods.
• Ensure all amendments to repairs are authorised by insurers.
• Work with bodyshop staff to ensure prescribed methods are correctly carried out.

• Choose from 40, 45 or 50 hours per week (Salary will reflect)

The Role - Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA

• Inspect damaged vehicles, assessing the full extent of damage, repair costs, and timescales

About You

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
• Audatex experience is essential
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Able to work efficiently in a busy, professional accident repair environment
