Job summary

Auto Skills UK is sourcing an experienced Bodyshop VDA to join a busy Cheltenham bodyshop. You will assess damage, prepare detailed estimates, and guide repairs from initial assessment through to manufacturer-standard completion.

With experience in Audatex and Autoflow, you will coordinate with insurers and technicians, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while maintaining records and supporting a collaborative team. A full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair requirements.
• Produce detailed and accurate repair estimates.
• Use Audatex to calculate repair costs and labour times.
• Use Autoflow to manage estimates, repair stages and job progression.
• Identify parts, labour and materials needed for repairs.
• Liaise with customers, insurers and relevant parties.
• Collaborate with Panel, MET and Paint Technicians.
• Ensure estimates reflect the required repair process and manufacturer methods.
• Maintain accurate records in repair systems.
• Monitor repair progress and support the bodyshop team.

An established and busy bodyshop is looking for an experienced Bodyshop VDA / Vehicle Damage Assessor / Vehicle Estimator to join their team. Offering a competitive £40,000-£50,000 salary depending on experience, this role would suit someone who is already confident in the VDA position and can manage estimates accurately and efficiently from initial assessment through to vehicle repair.

This is an experienced-level position rather than a trainee opportunity. Previous experience using Autoflow and Audatex would be highly advantageous, along with experience working with manufacturer repair methods and processes.

The Role

As a Bodyshop VDA, you'll be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate estimates and ensuring repairs are planned efficiently and in line with manufacturer standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting damaged vehicles and accurately assessing repair requirements
• Producing detailed and accurate repair estimates
• Using Audatex to calculate repair costs and labour times
• Using Autoflow to manage estimates, repair stages and job progression
• Identifying all parts, labour and materials required
• Liaising with customers, insurers and relevant parties
• Working closely with Panel, MET and Paint Technicians
• Ensuring estimates accurately reflect the required repair process
• Following manufacturer repair methods and technical procedures
• Maintaining accurate records and updating repair systems
• Monitoring repair progress and supporting the bodyshop team
• Ensuring repairs are completed safely and to the required quality standards

About You

We're looking for an experienced VDA / Vehicle Damage Assessor who can confidently manage the estimating process and understands modern accident repair.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous VDA experience - essential
• Strong knowledge of vehicle accident repair
• Experience producing accurate bodyshop estimates
• Audatex experience
• Autoflow experience
• Good understanding of manufacturer repair methods
• Experience working with insurers and repair networks
• Strong knowledge of Panel, MET and Paint repair processes
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple vehicles
• Full UK Driving Licence

Experience with the relevant vehicle manufacturers/brands would be highly advantageous.
