Introduction to the Division

The VAT team delivers VAT, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, Personal Tax, Global Mobility and Employment Tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients. We pride ourselves on professional, high‑quality service and a personal approach.

Team members regularly contribute to transactional advisory work across diverse sectors, dealing with issues such as demergers, restructuring, acquisitions and disposals.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of service and trust.
• Manage client portfolio and WIP, ensuring commercial fee proposals and robust recoveries.
• Advise on a wide range of VAT matters, including expanding into new jurisdictions, VAT treatment of new income streams, HMRC dispute resolution, and more.
• Potentially manage a small team of direct reports, including performance appraisals.
• Support tender proposals, generate new advisory projects, conduct due diligence, provide specialist VAT input into audit work, and train staff on VAT matters.
• Review complex VAT returns such as those for partly‑exempt clients and non‑resident landlords.
