Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a dedicated 3.5t Van Driver to join our Dartford, Kent team on IKEA contract. You will deliver furniture items across London with care and professionalism.

This full-time role includes 48 hours per week, a shift pattern of 5 days on, 3 days off on an 8-week rota, with starts at 5:00am. There are opportunities to progress through GXO Driving Academy and driver recognition programs.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Ability to lift/move items and handle furniture safely.
• Reliability and good communication with customers and team.
• Multi-drop experience is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to customers’ homes with care and professionalism, representing GXO and IKEA.
• Perform multi-drop deliveries, including single and 2-person teams.
• Drive throughout the London area, including Central London.
• Ensure vehicle and stock are securely loaded and secured.
• Carry out vehicle checks at start and end of each journey and report defects as needed.

At GXO Logistics, we’re looking for dedicated drivers to join our energetic team at Dartford, Kent working on our IKEA contract. As a 3.5t Van Driver you will be delivering furniture items for IKEA throughout London, including central areas.

This is a full time, permanent role you will be working 48 hours per week on a shift pattern of 5 days on, 3 days off over an 8-week rota with start time of 5:00am.

What you will do on a typical day:

• Working as a Van Driver you’ll be delivering to customers’ homes with care, professionalism and great service — representing GXO and IKEA
• Multi drop deliveries vary between single person and 2-person team
• Driving throughout the London area, including Central London
• Ensuring vehicle and stock is properly secured
• Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects
