Job summary

GXO is expanding its delivery operations at Wembley on the IKEA contract, seeking Drivers Mates to join a dynamic, 2-person team delivering furniture to customers’ homes with an emphasis on service quality.

The role is full-time, 48 hours per week, operating on a rotating pattern of 5 days on, 3 days off. A pension, wellbeing programmes, and extensive discounts accompany a permanent contract and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver furniture as part of a 2-person delivery team to customers' homes, providing first-class service.
• Call customers ahead of time to advise ETA and carry out pre-delivery assessment of the property.
• Provide feedback to site regarding any issues during deliveries.
• Accurately record delivery outcomes on the Flexi Pod system.

At GXO, we're expanding and looking for dedicated Drivers Mates to join our energetic team at Wembley, working on our IKEA contract. As a Drivers Mate you will be delivering furniture for IKEA as part of a 2-person delivery team. Customer service will be at the heart of this role!

This is a full time, permanent role you will be working 48 hours per week on a shift pattern of 5 days on, 3 days off over an 8-week rota with start times between 06:00am and 8:30am.

What you will do on a typical day:

• Working as a 2-person delivery team, delivering furniture products into a room of choice at customers' homes and providing a first-class customer service experience
• Responsible for calling customers ahead of time to advise of ETA and carry out pre delivery assessment of the property
• Provide feedback to site regarding any issues during deliveries
• Accurately record delivery outcomes on to Flexi Pod system
