Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is seeking reliable Van Drivers in Southampton to operate 3.5t vehicles on routes between mail centres, local businesses and customers. You will load/unload, complete paperwork, and keep accurate records while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Shifts include Lates (4pm–Midnight) and Nights (Midnight–8am). The role offers competitive hourly pay and access to wellbeing resources, with ongoing recruitment support from Manpower.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Cat B driving licence is essential.
• 1 year van driving experience in logistics or distribution.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 3.5t vehicles on planned routes between mail centres, local businesses and customers.
• Collect and deliver mail and parcels efficiently while meeting schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and secure goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Communicate effectively with the operations team.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate 3.5t vehicles on planned routes between mail centres, local businesses and customers.
• The collections & delivery of mail & parcels efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.

What we're looking for

• Valid UK Cat B driving licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 years previous van driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
