Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is recruiting for a 7.5t Driver in Southampton (SO18 2XX). The role offers an hourly rate of £17.29–£25.86 and a temporary, ongoing contract with various shifts. You will work on planned routes transporting mail and parcels across a nationwide distribution network.

Required: UK C1 licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card, up to 5 penalty points, and at least 2 years of 7.5t driving experience. Join a trusted logistics organisation and enjoy competitive pay and full PPE.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C1 driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 5 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 2 years driving 7.5t experience in logistics or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 7.5t vehicles on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects per procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and ensure goods security.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the operations team.
• Follow road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Handle multiple drops per shift depending on route.

What we're looking for
