Job summary

OA Group in Shefford, Bedfordshire seeks a reliable Van Driver (3.5T) to join our events delivery team. Drive a 3.5T van, assist a Driver's Mate, and load/unload equipment across locations. Flexibility for early starts, late finishes and weekend work is essential.

Deliver safe handling and reliable on-site service with a customer-focused approach. Immediate start available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (3.5T) required.
• Able to handle manual handling and physical work.
• Flexible hours including weekends.
• Reliable and professional attitude.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Delivery or event experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5T van to event locations.
• Load and unload event equipment with Driver's Mate.
• Deliver and collect chairs, tables and event hire products.
• Ensure safe handling and transport of equipment.
• Provide excellent on-site customer service.
• Adapt to changing delivery schedules and event requirements.

Role: Van Driver (3.5T)

Location: Shefford, Bedfordshire

Hours: Flexible Hours | Weekend Availability Required

Pay Rate: £13.50 an hour, weekly pay

OA are currently looking to recruit for an experienced Van Driver to join a well established company based in Shefford, within the Events Industry.

This is a varied role supporting the delivery and collection of event equipment across multiple locations. You'll be working as part of a two-person team alongside a Driver's Mate, ensuring all items are delivered safely, professionally and on time.

Please note — this is not a fixed-shift role and flexibility is essential due to the nature of the events industry, including early starts, later finishes and weekend working.

Duties of a Van Driver:

• Driving a 3.5T vehicle to event locations
• Loading and unloading event equipment in teams of two
• Delivering and collecting chairs, tables and event hire products
• Ensuring safe handling and transport of equipment
• Providing excellent customer service onsite
• Working flexibly around changing delivery schedules and event requirements
