Job summary

Pertemps Banbury is seeking a Van Driver for ad hoc shifts in Bicester. Start times around 4am, with a pay rate of £12.80 per hour and a minimum 8-hour shift guarantee. You will join a delivery team, stocking customers with fresh food and hospitality supplies.

Responsibilities include loading, multi-drop deliveries, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and ensuring safety during transport. A full UK licence with limited penalty points and good customer service are required.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Experience driving a 3.5-tonne van is desirable.
• Good knowledge of the UK road network.
• Reliable, flexible and positive approach to work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Pertemps are recruiting Van Drivers to work on an ad hoc basis, supporting a leading food distribution company based in Bicester. If you are looking to enjoy the flexibility of ad hoc shifts, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and friendly operation.

The role:

As part of the delivery team, you will play an important role in keeping customers stocked with fresh food and hospitality supplies. Your duties will include:

• Loading your van and ensuring deliveries are safely secured.
• Completing multi-drop deliveries to food service and hospitality customers.
• Providing a professional and friendly service at every delivery.
• Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
• Handling and lifting products weighing up to 25kg.

Requirements for the role:

• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).
• Previous experience driving a 3.5-tonne van with confidence.
• Good knowledge of the UK road network.
• A reliable, flexible, and positive approach to work.
• Good communication skills and excellent customer service.
• A willingness to work on an ad hoc basis as shifts become available.
