Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a Van Driver Towing to ensure timely collections and deliveries from customer sites, with emphasis on safe operation and load security.

You will operate light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, tow when required, and visit customer locations while complying with safety rules and Working Time Directive. The role includes a full towing training program and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Category B driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Proactive safety focus for company vehicles and other drivers.
• Polite and courteous when visiting customer premises.
• Geographical knowledge is desirable.
• LCV experience is desirable.
• Ability to use IT systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes with towing attachments.
• Ensure vehicle is safe and roadworthy and manage loading/unloading and securing loads.
• Visit customer sites and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Adhere to legal and company safety requirements and Working Time Directive.

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented Van Driver Towing to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

• Operating light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes with towing attachments for transportation of goods


• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load


• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers


• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all times
