Job summary

Allied Vehicles Ltd in Scotland is seeking a Van Driver for our Parts department to support timely delivery and collection of vehicle parts. You will deliver parts to customers and help promote parts sales while identifying new market opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parts according to routine delivery schedules and ad hoc requests, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Maintain a record of van sales.
• Organise the delivery schedules.
• Collect parts from other suppliers when needed.
• Receive payment or charge items delivered to customers.
• Check parts returns against customer return sheet before returning to hub.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Van Driver to join our Parts department. This is an exciting opportunity for a reliable and customer-focused individual to play a key role in the timely delivery and collection of vehicle parts.

You will be responsible for delivering parts to customers and assisting with promotion of parts sales and identifying new market opportunities.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm and the salary is £13.45 per hour + bonus.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Deliver parts according to the routine delivery schedules and in response to ad hoc requests, ensuring that all deliveries are made by agreed times.
• Maintain a record of all van sales.
• To organise the delivery schedules
• Collect parts, where necessary, from other suppliers.
• Receive payment or charge to account items delivered to customers.
• Check parts returns against customer return sheet prior to collection and return to hub.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have:

• Good geographical knowledge of Scotland.
• Previous experience of working in a driving role.
• Excellent communication skills.
