Job summary

Allied Vehicles in Scotland is seeking a Health, Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join the Health and Safety team. The role focuses on supporting the delivery of safe working practices through inspections, audits, risk assessments, incident reporting and system administration.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm, with a salary of £13.45 per hour. You will gain experience across risk management and continuous improvement initiatives while developing your career in health and safety.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Health, Safety and Compliance within a business environment.
• Experience gained through employment, internships, placements, graduate programmes or other relevant roles.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
• Experience working as part of a team and building positive working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace inspections and safety tours, documenting findings and following up actions.
• Monitor actions arising from inspections, audits, incidents and investigations, escalating overdue actions where appropriate.
• Support accident, incident and near-miss reporting and investigation processes.
• Gain experience in wider compliance, quality and management system activities to support ongoing professional development.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Health, Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our Health and Safety team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual looking to develop their career in health and safety by supporting the delivery of safe working practices.

You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of Allied Vehicles' Health, Safety and Compliance objectives through the co-ordination of inspections, audits, risk assessment activities, incident reporting, management system administration and continuous improvement initiatives.
