Job summary

Allied Vehicles Ltd is seeking an Assistant People Advisor to join our HR department. This role offers an opportunity to provide administrative and advisory support across People Operations & Payroll, ensuring a consistent, professional HR service.

You will support recruitment, onboarding, inductions, and employee lifecycle activities in a busy, people-focused environment. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8.30am–5pm.

• Support investigations, disciplinary processes and absence management.

• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, inductions, employee check-ins and offboarding activities.
• Prepare and issue employment documentation, including contracts, letters and contractual changes.
• Maintain accurate employee records across the HRIS, time and attendance and other people systems.
• Provide general HR administration and operational support to ensure the smooth running of the People function.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an Assistant People Advisor to join our HR department. This is an exciting opportunity for a friendly, proactive and people-focused individual looking to build a career within Human Resources.

You'll play a key role providing administrative and advisory support across the People Operations & Payroll function, helping to ensure managers and employees receive a consistent, professional and responsive HR service.

Hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm and the salary is £30,000 per annum.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees, escalating complex matters where required.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have:

• SCQF Level 6/7, HNC, or equivalent qualification, or demonstrable experience gained in a similar role.
• Previous administrative experience within a busy office environment, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation while handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages.
