Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in the United Kingdom is seeking a reliable LCV Driver to join our team. You will handle deliveries and collections from customer sites, keeping to schedules and meeting customer expectations.

Ideal candidates will have a category B license with a clean record, a strong safety mindset, and good numeracy and communication skills. IT systems experience is a bonus, and a positive, proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of driving license category B – with no more than 6 points.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises.
• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Geographical knowledge and LCV experience.
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Operate light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes for transportation of goods.
• Ensure vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys, and load is secured.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Adhere to legal and company safety requirements and working time directives.

About The Role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented LCV Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
What will you be doing?

• Operating light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes for transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all times
