Qualifications

• Must hold a Category B driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Previous driving experience.
• Proactive approach to training opportunities and able to act on feedback to make improvements.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• Polite and professional manner when visiting customer premises.
• Good geographical knowledge and industry experience (desirable).
• Knowledge of IT systems (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys, and manage loading, unloading and securing loads.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Ensure compliance with legal and company safety requirements and working time directives.

About The Role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented Trainee HGV Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
What will you be doing?

• Working towards gaining specialised knowledge and skills to operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
