Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring a 7.5 Tonne Driver in the United Kingdom to join our team. You will ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites while meeting customer expectations.

Full training will be provided for the technician aspect of the role, with a strong focus on safety and compliance. You will operate commercial vehicles, verify roadworthiness, load/unload safely, and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• CPC certification and valid C1 licence (max 6 points)
• Tachograph card required
• Proactive safety-focused approach
• Polite, professional manner when visiting customer premises
• Training available for plant maintenance
• Good geographical knowledge and industry experience desirable
• IT systems literacy desirable
• FORS compliance desirable

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensure vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journey; ensure safe loading/unloading of cargo
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal and external customers
• Install plant attachment equipment on customer sites
• Ensure compliance with legal and company safety requirements and Working Time Directive

About The Role

Full training will be provided for the technician aspect of the role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Installing plant attachment equipment on customer sites
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time

About You

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of driving license category C1 – with no more than 6 points
• CPC Certified
• Tachograph card
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises
• Plant maintenance or mechanical experience is desirable, however training can be provided
• Good geographical knowledge and Industry experience (desirable)
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable)
• FORS compliant (desirable)
