Job summary

Gooch & Housego (G&H) is seeking a Value Stream Lead at our Torquay site to coordinate manufacturing resources and deliver the plan while meeting KPI targets for delivery, productivity, quality, WIP and scrap. You will lead line scheduling with planners, manage deviations, and drive CI changes with the CI engineer.

You will ensure health, safety, and quality conformance, develop staff through feedback and training, and uphold 6S standards on the shop floor while fostering a culture of mutual

Qualifications

Proven leadership of manufacturing teams.
Accountability and delivering results.
Understanding of KPI metrics.

Responsibilities

Manage line schedules and prioritise schedule mix, with planner and production control.
Proactively manage deviations from target and follow escalation processes.
Lead team manning levels in line with S&OP and training plans; coach Team Leaders.
Ensure health, safety, and quality procedures are followed; promote a safety culture.
Drive product and process improvements with CI engineer; implement changes.
Review staff quarterly and adjust bands; support performance feedback and growth.
